Project Description
Our client, a large enterprise organization, is seeking a Technofunctional Oracle Cloud Payroll Consultant to join their HR technology team focused on payroll modernization. This role is critical as the organization continues to build internal capabilities following a recent Oracle HCM Fusion implementation. The consultant will serve as the subject matter expert for the Oracle HCM Payroll module, providing design recommendations, configuration expertise, and solutioning support while collaborating with technical teams to ensure system stability, manage upgrades, and support the integration of over 200 vendors into the Oracle suite.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for the Oracle HCM Payroll module with a strong understanding of Core HR and Compensation modules
Provide design recommendations and troubleshooting assistance to technical teams with a holistic view of the Oracle HCM application
Engage in solutioning, testing, and configuration of the Oracle HCM Fusion application across payroll workflows
Build and maintain Payroll Elements and associated Fast Formulas within the Oracle Payroll module
Leverage Oracle Cloud methodologies and tools — HDL/HSDL, Fast Formulas, HCM Extract, OTBI, and BI Publisher — for creation, enhancement, and issue resolution
Ensure application upgrades are executed successfully without causing system failures or disruptions
Support the ongoing initiative to integrate 200+ vendors into the Oracle suite to ensure proper payroll functionality
Design and document build requirements for reporting and technical development work
Apply deep knowledge of US Payroll Processing, Tax rules, and Payroll Accounting across all configuration activities
Mandatory Skills
5–8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, specifically the Payroll module
Deep understanding of Payroll Processing, US Taxes, and Payroll Accounting
Strong knowledge of end-to-end integrations between HR, Compensation, and Payroll modules
Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Payroll Elements and Fast Formulas within the Oracle Payroll module
Proficiency with Oracle Cloud tools including HDL/HSDL, Fast Formulas, HCM Extract, OTBI, and BI Publisher
Familiarity with Oracle HCM database tables for support and reporting needs
Background with the Oracle EBS platform (on-prem) is a strong plus
Nice-to-Have Skills
Oracle Cloud Payroll Practitioner certification
Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
Knowledge of PL-SQL
